Type of Incident: Quick Change Scam

Superior Ave. (Subway)
Summary of Incident:
On 01/09/10 at approx. 5:25 p.m. the Tomah Police Department responded to a Quick Change Scam at the Subway Restaurant located inside the Wal-Mart Supercenter. The investigation revealed that at approx. 4:48 p.m. a subject entered the restaurant and was able to scam the business out of approx.
$100.00. The investigation also revealed that the Wal-Mart Supercenter and the Subway Restaurant at 1845 N. Superior Ave. were also scammed out of money. The total money lost to the subject is approx. $260.00.
The suspect is described as a black male standing approx. five feet nine inches tall and wearing a hooded sweatshirt with a windbreaker type jacket over it. The jacket colors are red, white and black. The suspect was also wearing sunglasses.
The Tomah Police Department is asking business in Tomah and the surrounding communities to be on the look out for this subject and report any/all information related to this crime. If you have any information please call 608-374-7400 and ask to speak with an Officer.
