Common Tomah City Ordinances

 


Ord. Sec. 10-6. Building numbers.

(a) Generally. All buildings in the city shall be assigned a building number by the public works department. The assigned number shall be displayed on the front of the building. The assigned number shall be displayed in contrasting colors. The number shall be four inches or larger.

(b) Commercial buildings. Any commercial building with a public entrance fronting an alley shall display the building number at that location. The number shall be four inches or larger.


CITY-WIDE TRAIL ORDINANCE
Sec. 30-141. - Hours of Operation

The parks and recreation commission has established hours of operation for the city-wide recreational trail as one-half hour before sunrise until one-half hour after sunset. After the posting of such trail hours, no person shall enter onto or remain upon said trail outside the designated hours.

Sec. 18-22. - Public nuisances affecting peace and safety.

The following acts, omissions, places, conditions and things are hereby declared to be public nuisances affecting peace and safety, but such enumeration shall not be construed to exclude other nuisances affecting the public peace or safety coming within the provisions of section 18-19:

(10) The keeping or harboring of any animal or fowl which by frequent or habitual howling, yelping, barking, crowing or making of other noises shall greatly annoy or disturb a neighborhood or any considerable number of persons within the city.


Sec. 8-118. - Prohibited acts.

It shall be unlawful for any person to own, harbor, or keep any dog or cat that:

(4) Habitually barks, cries, or howls to any annoyance of any person;
