Summary of Incident:

On June 30, 2016 at 10:25 a.m. the Monroe County Communications Center received a 911 call reporting an Armed Robbery at BeMobile, A Verizon Premium Wireless Retailer located at 201 Helen Walton Drive, Tomah, WI.

Information was obtained from the BeMobile employee that three suspects entered the store, displayed a handgun, and demanded money from the employee.  An unknown amount of money was taken by the suspects.  While in the store the suspects also took multiple electronic devices.

The suspects were last seen leaving the area traveling east on State Highway 21 (presumably to access I-94 westbound toward Oakdale, WI)

At approximately 11:15 a.m. the Monroe County Communication Center received a call from a citizen advising of an unoccupied vehicle parked in the area of W Cougar Drive and White Street, Oakdale, WI.  The vehicle description from the citizen very closely matched that of the suspect vehicle.  Officers from multiple agencies converged on the location and temporarily closed W Cougar Drive and White Street while the vehicle and surrounding area were searched for the suspects.   The vehicle was positively identified as the suspect vehicle and it was subsequently impounded for evidence processing.

The Monroe County Joint Investigative Task Force is working with area retailers to obtain surveillance videos that may help produce leads that will result in the identification of the three (3) suspects.

This case remains under investigation.  Anyone with information related to this case is encouraged to contact the Tomah Police Department at 608 374-7400 or the Monroe County Crime Stoppers at 608 269-STOP.

The Tomah Police Department was assisted by the Monroe County Sheriff Department, Wisconsin State Patrol, and the Monroe County Communications Center.
