Suspect:                                     Skylar J. Knight (DOB 04/25/89)

Summary of Incident:
On 03/20/11 at approx. 3:03 a.m. Tomah Police Officers were dispatched to the Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy for a burglary alarm.  Upon arrival Officers observed the front window smashed out and a lone subject moving around inside the business.

Officers, including the Tomah Police Department K-9 Unit, set up a perimeter around the building.  The suspect was given commands and a taser was deployed.  The suspect then surrendered to law enforcement.

The suspect is identified as 21 year old Skylar Knight of Tomah.  Knight was taken to Tomah Memorial Hospital for medical clearance and then to the Monroe County Jail.

Charges of Burglary, Possession of Schedule 4 Narcotic, Theft, Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest, Bail jumping and Damage to Property are being forwarded to the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office.

The Tomah Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department.
